Data Discrepancy Reporting Format
To assist our data verification process, please include the following reference details in your correspondence:
- Entity Identifier: The official Census GEOID, FIPS code, or GNIS Feature ID.
- Entity Name & Jurisdiction: The locality name and state (e.g., “Pasadena city, California”).
- Specific Metric & Vintage: The affected field (e.g., total housing units, boundary coordinate, or land area) and vintage year.
- Authoritative Reference: A direct URL or table citation from the Census Bureau, USGS, NOAA, or CMS.
